AUGUST 2008 Report

Dear friends in Christ;

“I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.”
PSALM 109:30

Church Praise
Since our last report we have had the blessing of having Libiston (from Peru) get baptized. With an attendance of over 20 people (including some from our sending Church), the brethren that attended were surprised to see how excited Libiston was as he expressed his happiness in getting saved and baptized. Since his baptism, Libiston has been growing steadily in the Word of God and has continually tried to witness to family and friends. He has also experienced some “mocking” from fellow workers about his newfound belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. He has related to us that the “mocking” reminds him of when he “mocked” a young man in Peru because he kept trying to get him to visit his Church. He has now been able to contact that young man and has related to him how he came to accept the Lord as his Saviour (they both rejoice in God’s Grace).

We continually thank the Lord for His blessings in bringing visitors to our services. During the last two Sunday morning services we have had 17 people attend. So far our congregation is getting very International (comprised of people from Peru, Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Bolivia and the U.S.A.). Please pray for Francisco, as he has been faithful in attending, not only Sunday Morning and Evening Services, but also the mid-week Services.

Jail Ministry Praise
The Lord has also been blessing in the Jail Ministry of which I have the privilege of preaching in every month. Over the months, I have seen that ministry change from a predominant Spanish-speaking to an English-speaking ministry (with some Bi-lingual). It has been an encouragement to see the attendance grow in that ministry.

Missionary Family Praise
The highlight of our Summer was being able to attend the Missionary Family Reunion in Arkansas. It was a time of Spiritual refreshment (as we heard good preaching of the Word) and it was a time of great fellowship with brothers and sisters in the ministry that we haven’t seen for many years. As we are all getting up in age, it was refreshing to get acquainted with younger families and singles entering into the Missionary ministry.

Personal Praise
We praise the Lord, for all His Goodness, Love and Care in our lives, and for allowing us to serve Him. Of course, we thank the Lord for the Blessing you have been to us through out all these years. May our Lord bless you for the care and love (through your prayer and financial support) you have bestowed to this missionary family.

FOR HIS GLORY!
