Dear friends in Christ;
“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto
us which are saved it is the power of God.” 1 CORINTHIANS 1:18
“FOOLISHNESS” and “THE POWER OF GOD”
“There’s another ‘Crazy
Man’ like you”. These were the words spoken to a fellow believer, David (a
manager at an Italian Restaurant). This expression came because a new employee,
Libiston (from Peru), took his Bible to work one day. David, upon seeing this
man reading his Bible, approached Libiston and told him that he knew someone who
could explain the plan of Salvation in the Spanish language. I was introduced to
Libiston and his sister, Lisbed, and upon sharing with them the Word of God,
they both asked the Lord Jesus as their Personal Saviour. We PRAISE THE LORD and
give thanks for a man like David, who was sensitive to the spiritual needs of
Libiston. Please pray for the spiritual growth of Libiston and Lisbed and for
their nephew, Ivan (that he may start attending Church).
THE “POWER OF GOD” ON EASTER SUNDAY
It was blessing to have a
high attendance of 15 on Easter Sunday, but it was an even greater blessing to
see the salvation of seven year old, Andrea (during our Children’s Sunday School
Class). Andrea has been attending Church for several months with her parents;
Monica (from Columbia) and David.
THE “POWER OF GOD” IN OUR FAMILY
This coming May 2008, my wife,
Janet, and I will be receiving our 30 year pin in recognition of thirty years as
Missionaries with Baptist Bible Fellowship International. We both count it an
enormous privilege to have shared the Lord by “preaching of the Cross” in
Bolivia-S.A, Spain and now in Colorado.
The Lord continues to bless as our family serves Him in their respective places.
Please pray for our youngest daughter, Yvette, and her husband Chad as they are
nearing the end of their studies in preparation for full time ministry.
We thank each of you for
supporting us, in prayer and finances, during all our years of service to the
Lord!
