June 2008 Report

Dear friends in Christ;

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe and therefore speak.” 2 Corinthians 4:13

RESULTS OF TESTIFYING
          On our last report we shared the blessing of the salvation of Libiston and his sister, Lisbed (from Perú). Since his conversion, Libiston has continually witnessed to family members and fellow workers. Two other cousins have also come to several Church meetings (Ivan and Lastenia).
          Libiston and his sister are now witnessing to and praying for the salvation of family members in Perú. It’s a real blessing to see how God is working in the life of Lisbed and Libiston (he is excited to be getting baptized this coming Sunday). He is the first one to be baptized in our ministry in Denver. Please continue to pray for him and his family.

CONTINUED CONTACTS
          God is so good to bring encouragement when we most need it. A few weeks ago the Lord brought a family to our church (Joe Guerra, his wife Beth and two sons, John and Frank, along with Ruth-Joe’s mother). Joe is bilingual, has the burden to share the Gospel and has completed Bible College. Joe’s wife is from Vietnam and only speaks English, but still attends Church. Ruth (Joe’s mother) plays the piano and is a blessing to the congregation.

PHYSICAL & SPIRITUAL BREAD
          For the last month a local Grocery Store has been supplying our Church with Bakery goods. Not only has this been a blessing for our Congregation it has also been a method to reach out to the lost in our area. We were able to meet a dear family that lives across the street from the Church (Brad and Sarah - they run a Daycare for Welfare children). We thank the Lord for providing these bakery goods and ask that you pray for this ministry outreach.
          During this month, our hearts were saddened by the move to Texas of the Cooper family (Francisco, Monica and Andrea). They had been with us since we first started this Spanish outreach ministry.

PRAYERS FOR SALVATION
          We covet your prayers for the ministry of “Iglesia Bautista El Calvario” here in Denver, CO. Please pray for those that have been attending our Church services, but have yet to make a decision for salvation (Lastenia, Jose, Milenka, & Gerardo).

Thank you for your prayers and continued faithful support!
