We began the Bible Baptist Church (Eglise Baptiste Biblique) over
16 years ago. It is our main work. We averaged 30 for the past year,
which is an increase over the previous years. We had four saved and three
baptized for the year. It is located in Rixensart. We have a bookstore
in the building. It is a source of contact. I usually spend one day on
maintenance on the building and one to two days passing out tracts and
invitations. We own our building, pay all our bills and taxes, and
support four mission works.
We are praying and looking for a pastor for this work.
We have a Bible study in southern Belgium. It is in the town of
Roucourt, which is about an hour from my front door. It began last
September. At the present we are meeting in a home.
There are about 10 who come each week.
We have had five visitors come to our service. One of the
visitors has begun to attend regularly. We have not seen anyone accept
Christ at this study yet. I usually spend a day here passing out tracts
and inviting people to the study.
We have another Bible study in the town of Barvaux. It is in the
Ardenne mountains. It is also an hour from my house in the other
direction of Roucourt. We meet in a home.
This study came about because an exchange
student from Belgium went to the States.
She was saved in a Baptist church
in Fairfield, Ohio. We use her home to have the study. At present her
family are all that come to the study. I have not been able to get to
her area and pass out tracts. The mother here was recently saved.
Our last Bible study is in the southern area of Brussels. It is in
the area of Uccle. We have seen two people saved at this Bible study.
It is also in a home. It began in January of this year.
I spend usually one
day a week passing out invitations and tracts in this area.
We average in this study 10.
As you can tell we are staying busy. Between the Bible studies,
the discipling program, the translation of our lessons and the minor
things of life, we are busy. We manage to play softball each Saturday
in the spring and summer with the neighborhood kids.
