March 2008

Dear Friends,

Anne has been in our church for a number of years. She has invited her mom to ourClick photo for a closer look and use your browser's back button to return services often and the mom has always enjoyed coming to the services. It seemed to me that she was not really interested in spiritual matters, but she came because her grandkids were involved. This month she was rushed to the hospital because she could not get her breath. During the examinations and tests it was discovered that she had cancer in her lungs, her bones and a spot on her liver. Jean and I went to the hospital to pray over her and for her. I asked God to let all her family be gone when we arrived. She was alone when we arrived and then we witnessed to her. She prayed the sinners’ prayer. They started the chemo therapy the next week and by Thursday she was in a coma. She died in the Lord Tuesday morning the 19th of February. How good is our God! Eddy and Anne have asked me to do the memorial service. I will preach on that glorious hope.
Anita came the last Sunday in 2007. She had been there several times. She is expecting a child. Her boyfriend has abandoned her and she needed the Lord. She was saved that afternoon the last Sunday in 2007. She prayed without being lead by Jean in the prayer. Jean told me that her prayer was a classic prayer phrased from her heart. She is involved in the discipleship lessons. She has not missed a service since that Sunday.
Our mission conference was this past weekend. The great commission applies to all Baptist churches. Our church committed to give three times what it was normally giving. Pastor Terry Sears from Bakersfield, Ca was the speaker and he really challenged our people to be involved and committed to getting the gospel to the world.
Thank you for allowing me to be your partner in Belgium. Thank you for being my partner in worldwide missions.
