Dear Pastor and Church,
When I write you a letter, I like to give you a report of what is taking
place in Belgium in the church at Rixensart. The past three months have
been very dry as far as contacts and visitors and souls being saved. The
Thanksgiving dinner was a success as far as numbers, and we did have
eleven visitors that came for the services and testimonies. Our
Christmas program got snowed out. I have never cancelled a Sunday
Morning service until December 20, 2009. We got snowed out. My family
could not physically make it to church. The snow plows did not even try
to run that day. We had nearly a foot of snow in our area that fell from
7 A.M. until 1 P.M. We did the service exactly two weeks later and while
the overall number was down we had 10 visitors for that day.

We have started a children’s club once a month. Our ladies are heavily
involved in the teaching and training of the children during this club.
It has been encouraging to see their work preparing and then delivering
the lessons. We have seen this club grow from a small group to a really
nice size.
Isn’t it hard to imagine that 2010 has arrived? It was just a short time
that y2k was the talk of the hour and that has been 10 years. We are ten
years into this century, or as my kids say, 10 years older. Where is the
new generation of Missionaries? I turned 58 in December. During my 30
years in Belgium I have seen missionaries come and then go. They all
leave saying the same thing. “I have peace about what I am doing,
because this is what God has told me to do”. I would love to see a few
new missionaries come and lay claim to Belgium, just like Caleb did many
years ago for his mountain. Pray that we see new missionaries that come
to Belgium and stay.
Your Missionary,
Larry Taylor
