Dear Friends,

We started our second stint of furlough at the beginning of March. We flew through London into Baltimore because that was the cheapest way to get back. London is London and they do not relish the job as international host. During the night of March 18th -19th one of or faithful members passed away. While it was not a surprise we had hoped and prayed that she would survive our furlough. I had promised her to return and preach her funeral because she knew her friends, family and colleagues who would never come to church with her would come to her funeral. She was the oldest person I had ever baptized. From the time her incurable cancer had been diagnosed she planned her service. It was a celebration of her life and faith in Christ. It was a glorious time of remembrance but of testifying to the lost. I preached about the reality of heaven. We had probably 50 people who were not part of the church in the service. Chris and Rebecca had prepared everything for the service and we just had to show up.
We had to plan an emergency trip back to Belgium and the only air service that would accommodate us on such short notice was Air India. We flew directly from Chicago to Frankfurt Germany. The trip going and coming was an eye opening experience of time and dealing with different cultures. We were thankful they allowed us travel with 4-day turnaround time. We did not miss a single appointment here and was still able to do what was needed in Belgium. We were grateful that the churches in Ohio were so helpful.
We are planning on being back in Belgium in early May. We are excited about what God is doing in us and through us. Keep my wife, daughter and I in your prayers. Deborah has to stay in the U.S. for the summer because of her job at school, we will miss her in the work in Belgium, but it is necessary for her to work to stay in school. Deborah is majoring in missions and music education. Please keep Deborah in your prayers.

Your missionary in Belgium,
Larry Taylor
