Dear Friends,

He came to us because of the funeral of his godmother and to pay his last respects. He is 20 years old, plays a forward position in rugby, and by most standards a little rude and crude. He was raised by his grandparents and having felt rejected by his parents. He has tried to be goth and geek. He is just looking for some place to belong and feel wanted. Sometimes he is hard to like and sometimes he is obnoxious. He is the sort of person that Jesus loves and died to save. He went to camp and tried our patience. I wanted to ship him home, but then his grandmother came and got him. Then I was disappointed because he left. Sunday night he begged to come back to camp. We again had this contest of will, but very early Tuesday morning Salvatore Calzette was born again. There was a total of three saved during the camp. There was rejoicing in heaven.

We were in camp literally for three weeks. We did an experiment of combining Jr. Camp and family camp together. It was a riot. God blessed us with two saved that week. Our theme for family/junior camp was Fireproof. We had a team from Harvester Baptist Church in Columbia, Md. The pastor is Dr. Ed Simpson. They were a great group. We had them doing games, dishes and cleaning. The team was led by Dave & Corinne Simonaire and Matt & Jill Simpson. They were willing to work in every aspect of camp with a great attitude.

The second week we hosted the European wide Missionary retreat. Dr John Konnerup and Pastor Dennis Jennings from Cherry Street Baptist Church were here for retreat. After two years without having a retreat, it was fun to fellowship with other missionaries again. The retreat was over Thursday morning and we started Sr. camp on Thursday night. One of our campers was Salvatore. What a great three weeks! It was an exhausting three weeks but it was good.

Your Missionary in Belgium,
Larry Taylor
