Dear Pastor and Friends,
I would like to share
with you how the Lord brought us to where we are now. The Lord
really started to move in our lives earlier this spring, though
Cristina and I have always been burdened for the people of Greece. I
had just started working at the Olive Garden and though the Lord was
providing, there was no peace. During the annual mission’s
conference at Cherry Street Baptist Church, Satan was attacking from
all sides. By Friday, Cristina took a pregnancy blood test, which we
would get the result on Monday. That Sunday, at the conclusion of
the conference, the Lord put a burning in our hearts to focus more
fervently on our calling to Greece and the Greek people. Once we
found out that Cristina was indeed pregnant, and her due date being
November 24th, she would have to sit out for a whole year. This
troubled us, because it meant that this would delay our going to
Greece as missionaries.
In the mean time the E.U.
began to strictly enforce the visa laws. This has caused two
families to have to leave the field of Greece. However, Cristina and
I will not have to deal with these restrictions, because Cristina is
a Greek citizen, I will be able to get a permanent visa, which I
will begin to work on upon our arrival in Greece.
The Lord has opened the door
for my wife and I to return to Greece as Short Term Missionaries, we
are making a 3 year commitment. We will be able to fulfill our
internship requirements for when we complete our degrees and go for
approval as full time missionaries.
We arrived in Greece
August 4th, and went directly to help with the youth summer camp. In
our day to day ministry, we assist the Dimakos in evangelism, Bible
studies in both English and Greek, plan activities, children
ministries, and in any other opportunity that the Lord provides.
We would like to ask you
to share our efforts to reach the lost in Greece with the gospel,
prayerfully, monthly or a one time love offering. Our Immediate
needs are:
$3000 for Dr. and Hospital expenses
$2400 for language school
Sincerely,
James and Cristina Sinde
