Rev. & Mrs. Richard Reddoch Sent by church: Sent through:
December 2008-January 2009 Sometimes things are slow on the field. In December things were so slow that the most exciting thing that we did was go to the bank and then go grocery shopping. You may say, “So? What has that got to do with anything?” Most of you don’t watch exchange rates on FOX News, CNN or CNBC, but watching the exchange rate decline through December was the most exciting thing that has happened in the last 24 months other than rejoicing because of those who were saved. With the exception of our Christmas Service and the visitors that we had, there is little else to tell you. But I will tell you that the exchange rate dropped enough that we could buy more than one tank of gasoline for the month and we were able to fellowship with some missionary friends that we haven’t seen for 2 years and I actually got to go out for a meal with my wife. As the exchange rate stabilised in January, there was more rejoicing as we were able to do more than we have been able to do in the last number of months. A couple of months ago, it cost $110 ($9.92 per US gallon) to fill the car with gasoline and this last time it only cost $53.00 ($6.84 per US gallon). God is so good! People are growing spiritually and the church is a joy. One of our young couples will be having their first baby around July. And, to top it off, we have had a few visitors come to church and so our attendance has been up. One final note. We are sincerely grateful for you faithfulness over these last months. Your kind Christmas specials have been such a blessing to us after all the ‘tight’ times we have gone through. We thank you and appreciate you and all that you do for us. Laboring Together,
