Dear Friends,

The first signs of spring are beginning to show here in Poland, and for that we are thankful, mainly because we are now able to start our community outreaches and evangelistic efforts that we had to postpone when winter set in. It has been encouraging, however, for us to have already seen the Lord working here in this church plant, even without any large evangelistic outreaches. For the last four Sundays we have had first time visitors in each of our services, and it is wonderful to see our members bringing friends and family with them.

The Sunday before Easter we had a special dedication service for our church where we put up our signs and had a very special time of worship, prayer, and dedication to the Lord. We also had a very good Easter with a special testimony from the brother-in-law of one of the ladies in our church. Some of our initial contacts that we made are also now starting to show fruit. One of the guys that I play basketball with came to church with us two weeks ago, and he is now wanting to bring one of his friends with him. We are also seeing a lot more hits on our website since our church signs have been up and are starting to receive e-mails from people wanting to know more about us.

Please pray for our evangelistic efforts that will be taking place in the next couple of months. This Saturday we will be doing our first of many large literature distributions together as a church. We will also be putting an advertisement in one of the local Warsaw newspapers so that people can find out who we are and what we are doing. This is a very exciting time for us as a church, and we are thankful for your help and encouragement.

We also have our dates finalized for our brief furlough. We will be leaving to go to the States on June 21st and coming back to Poland on the 27th of August. Although this is a short time, it will allow us to report to quite a few churches and also allow us to see our family again. We also need to mention that because of the terrible decline in the value of the dollar we really need to see our support level go up slightly. For those of you who have increased your support of our ministry, thank you. For those of you who might have the ability to raise your level of support, we would appreciate it very much.

Co-Laborers for Christ,

Derrick & Amber Lewright
