Dear Friends,

I’m sorry that our prayer letter is getting out a few weeks later than normal, but a lot has happened in the last couple of months. The second weekend of January we started holding a Sunday Bible study in our home with the two families we had mentioned in our last letter. All of our meetings to this point have had a wonderful spirit of worship, desire to serve the Lord, and anticipation of what God is going to do next.

Three weeks ago we were able to sign a contract for a meeting place in Warsaw in the area of Ursynów, the section of Warsaw we had been praying for in which to start the new church. The owner of the building has been extremely helpful and open to all of the things we are needing to do to prepare to hold services. In order to meet in this new building we only have to paint the main room that will serve as the auditorium, install a door frame and door for the area where the children will have lessons, finish cleaning everything, and buy chairs for the auditorium. Our goal is to have our first service there the first Sunday of March. Once we begin meeting we still have some minor remodeling projects for it to be fully functional. We need to build a sound-proof wall to separate the nursery from the main meeting room. We will also need to enlarge the children’s area by tearing down some small walls. If you would like to help financially with this part of the ministry, please designate funds for “new Warsaw church.”

There are also still quite a few preparations before we can put up signs and begin to make known to the community that we are there, but things are really starting to come together. It has also been extremely encouraging to have already made several very promising contacts in the neighborhood. In the last few months we have really seen God specifically answer a lot of our prayers and open up many doors of opportunity. Please continue to pray with us for the start of this new church in Warsaw.

Co-Laborers for Christ,

Derrick & Amber Lewright
