Dear Friends,

Now that the holidays are behind us we are able to finally catch our breath. Throughout the month of December we saw many new first time visitors, both as a result of our special Christmas service and because of our people inviting friends and family. We have also had a young couple and a single college student become a regular part of our church. Unfortunately, it is the least productive time for outreach due to the cold weather. Our plans for our campaign were delayed because our church website and the installation of our church telephone line were not completed on time. Since being in Poland now for five years we have learned that deadlines and completion dates are more like suggestions and wishful thinking. But, over time, we have learned to not become so frustrated about those things and just trust that God’s timing is what really matters the most. Most of the website, except for a few small details, is actually now completed if you would like to see it at www.zjezusem.pl. At this time everything is in Polish, but you can at least look at the pictures.

We also waited a little bit longer to get this prayer letter out because we have had to make plans to come back for a brief furlough this summer due to the continuing decline of the value of the dollar and because we have only had three months on furlough in our first five years. We can not be gone from the work for an extended amount of time at this stage of our ministry, and our boys also have to be back for the start of school. We will be leaving the last part of June and coming back the last week of August. Although this is an incredibly short furlough, if you would like for us to report to your church during this time, please contact us as soon as possible through e-mail or telephone. I will also be trying to contact all of our supporting pastors in the next two months. Even if we are not able to report to your church during this time we will be sending you a new video, picture, and prayer cards during the time we are in the States. We thank all of you for your prayers and continued support for the work that is going on here in Poland.

Co-Laborers for Christ,

Derrick & Amber Lewright
