Dear Friends,

We’re getting this prayer letter out a little bit later than normal because many of you have been asking about our situation with our visa, and we wanted to have some more concrete information for you. A couple of months ago we started to get worried about whether or not we would get a positive decision on our visa to stay in Poland. The governmental offices kept asking us to come in with more and more documents that in the past had not been necessary, some of which were difficult to obtain. They also extended the time normally required to issue decisions on behalf of foreigners. On top of that, good friends of ours here in Poland, who are also missionaries, were declined for their visa. They were allowed to reapply this time, but things were getting stressful for them as well as us. Well, thanks to a lot of prayer from many of you, last week we received a positive decision on our visa for the next two years, and next week we will be able to go in to pick up the actual cards.

From a ministry perspective things are going well with our church in Warsaw. We are not seeing the amount of visitors that we would like to see, but are praying that as a result of our outreaches and evangelistic activities that will be changing in the near future. At the end of May our church also finished a financial campaign to raise money to purchase a keyboard for our church. Up until recently we didn’t have a need for any type of keyboard or piano because we didn’t have anyone in the church who knew how to play one. We’ve since had a family join our church, and the wife is an excellent instrumentalist. We never cease to be amazed at how God supplies our needs when we need them.

It’s exciting to see our young church growing spiritually and maturing in areas such as financial responsibility as well. Please continue to pray for the growth of our church both spiritually and numerically as we want to see as many people as possible come to place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We also want to especially ask for your prayers concerning Mikołaj, a young man whom we have mentioned before who was saved a year and a half ago. He asked me if we were going to be having a baptismal service this summer, which gave me another great opportunity to talk with him about this incredibly important step. Please pray that Mikołaj will soon desire to take this step of faith.

Co-Laborers for Christ,

Derrick & Amber Lewright
