Dear Friends,

From the very beginning we want to say thank you for your prayers concerning the starting of our home groups. It has been great to get this up and running. Now our main prayer is that our people will be faithful to these meetings and understand how important it is to gather for Christian fellowship, prayer, and studying the Word of God. It has been good for our people to meet together in homes to be encouraged, and the enthusiasm and good spirit surrounding this new step for our church has been a blessing to us. We are looking forward to what God is going to do through these meetings as our members grow closer to one another, closer to the Lord, and also seek to introduce others to the Christ who freely saves.

On a completely different note, in our last prayer letter we mentioned the flash flood that affected our church office. Once again we are having problems in our building, this time with the plumbing. For the last three weeks we have had large gaping holes in our ceiling where plumbers have been replacing pipes. Evidently the existing pipes were installed under communism and were never changed to meet current regulations. The pipes have now been changed, but we are still waiting for permission to have all of the holes sealed up. As you can imagine this is very frustrating. We have also begun to pray and seek the Lord’s guidance about possibly finding a new location for our church, but right now we can’t find anything that would suit our needs for a price that we can afford. Please pray with us about this situation and that if it be God’s will we would find a better location that will have fewer problems where we can continue to spread the gospel in our part of Warsaw.

We would also ask you to pray about a few special opportunities that we will have in the near future. The children in our church are starting to prepare a Christmas program that will be part of a special Sunday where we will be looking to invite family and friends to come. This will be a great opportunity to present the message of salvation. Soon we will also be having our first baby dedication. We just finished with a “baby boom” where three mothers had babies in short succession. Each of the families want to use this baby dedication as an opportunity to invite family so that they can be better exposed to our church and more importantly, to hear the gospel. Thank you again for your partnership with us in ministry.

Co-Laborers for Christ,

Derrick & Amber Lewright
