CHRISTMAS OUTREACH
It was a joy to assist Grace Baptist Church in Moscow with their Christmas services. Our family helped hand out invitations on the street, Jim sang and Alaina and Jim had speaking parts in the Christmas play. We were blessed to see 10 first time visitors.

NEW WORK IN THE NEW YEAR
In January God led us to team with independent, fundamental, Baptist missionaries Sam and Rhonda Wilson, 12 year veterans sent out of Mansfield Baptist Temple, Mansfield, OH. Our goal is to work together to rebuild the struggling Grace Baptist Church into a healthy, indigenous, independent, fundamental, Baptist church in Moscow, with the long-term goal of starting other indigenous works around the city.

IT CAN’T BE DONE!
Since arriving in Moscow, we have been told many times that public evangelism is impossible. When we arrived, we didn’t know the language, so it was impossible. Over time, even as we acquired language skills, we began to believe what we had been told. Culture and locks on apartment buildings are definiteobstacles. However, Grace Baptist Church has begun to do “the impossible.” In the past month we welcomed 5 visitors as a direct result of our evangelistic efforts.

REGISTRATION
In late February we were required by law to cross the Russian border and return in order to renew our registration, allowing us to remain in Russia for another six months. The last time we renewed our registration it was a very time consuming and difficult process. This time things went smoothly and we received our registration in just three days!

A NOTE OF PRAISE/THANKS!
Last August we encountered an extreme financial drain when our visas were delayed. We were unsure if we were going to be able to stay on the field. We praise God and thank Him for sustaining us and meeting every need as it has come up. We thank you for your faithfulness to support and pray for our family and ministry in Russia. We are amazed at what God has done in recent months, months that we didn’t think we would be here to serve.
