…Sir, we would see Jesus.
John 12:21
Dear Prayer Partners,
We
were recently, finally privileged to see Slava, our friend who was
critically injured almost three months ago during the terrorist bombing
of the Moscow subway system. He is doing well, but is still in the
hospital. We did not know what to expect when we went to see him. It is
obvious he has been through an ordeal, but he looks good and was very
happy to see us. He pointed out all his scars and the pins that remain
in his leg, from his upper thigh to his ankle. Both he and his wife,
Irina, are so grateful for the continuing prayers for them. They were
especially touched with the emails, letters and well-wishes that have
been sent to us through email. They asked us to express their deep
gratitude to all who have been praying for them. Please continue to pray
for Slava as he still has some metal in his eyes and pins in his leg. He
is finally feeling better and has hope of leaving the hospital after the
pins are removed. There is also hope that his eyes can be repaired as
well. He and his wife promised they would come hear me preach when he is
out of the hospital. This is the first time that Slava has been open to
coming to our church. Please pray for his continued recovery and that I
will have the opportunity to speak with him about enjoying a personal
relationship with Jesus.
Our
church in Moscow was recently blessed to host our first national,
missionary guest in our services. Valentine Suprun, his wife Sveta and
their 1 1/2 year old daughter, Marina, visited us on their way out of
Russia to Indonesia. This is a very special family. As far as we know
they are the first Independent Baptist Russian nationals who have been
sent out of Russia as foreign missionaries. Their plan is to get student
visas, learn the language and eventually move to an area where there are
primitive nationals who do not currently have a Gospel witness. Please
pray for this precious family as they adjust to cultural and language
differences they have never before experienced and that God will protect
them and use them in a mighty way in Indonesia.
Thank you for your continued prayer and support for
our family and the ministry in Russia.
For His Glory,
Jim Hutchinson

Dear Prayer Partners,
Please find our
latest prayer update attached. I do have an extra update and
prayer request to add. I am excited to announce that our friend,
Slava, has finally been released from the hospital and is now home.
He is not, however, totally healed. He still has the small metal
pieces in his eye and his left leg is still not ready to walk on.
Please continue to pray for Slava's recovery and for his salvation.
A little over a week ago, Vladimir, the Russian pastor we are working
with, suffered a heart attack and is currently in the hospital. He
has had a very difficult year with his health. Please pray that
God will strengthen him and bring him home to his family and to the
church soon. Thank you for your constant prayers and consistent
support! We appreciate all you do for us. Take care and God
bless.
Blessings, Jim & Laura Hutchinson Moscow, Russia
