Bible Baptist Institute of Novosibirsk, Russia

History of the School – This school was started as a cooperative effort of Independent Baptists in the Novosibirsk Oblast of Russia in 2001. Missionaries Gary Lucas & Jeff Williams led in the founding of this school, while Jim Brackeen and Vladimir Lukyanov made considerable contributions to its operation over the years. Classes were originally held in Novosibirsk. They were moved to the city of Berdsk in 2004. The school is currently housed in the church facility there. It is on the second floor of the Business Center on Lenin Street.

In 2004 Bible Baptist Institute was approved as an official school for the Christian Fellowship of Bible Baptists in Russia (XCBB). It is a nation-wide fellowship of Independent Baptists. It is the first school of several we hope to start as extension schools. A Board of Trustees has assembled to create a curriculum that would be approved of and used by all participating schools run in and through local churches. Our institute has been approved as a partner in the Louisiana Baptist University (LBU) International Student Training Educational Program (INSTEP).  Read more about INSTEP at LBU's web site.
