Prayer Letter

July 2006

Dear Praying Friends,

The silence was deafening. Every time the phone rang, we picked it up wondering if this was "the phone call". Months went by with no word and we were beginning to wonder if something had gone wrong. We’d burned our bridges, there was no going back. We knew all of you had received our letter and DVD explaining how God was leading us to begin a new ministry in southern Portugal, yet no word had come from the Portuguese Embassy.

That call came the first of this month. We now have 6 month visas to live in Portugal! We have to move there by the last of September in order to have enough time to register and begin the process of obtaining year long visas. We KNOW you pray for us, so we are asking you to take these requests to our Heavenly Father:

• That the sale of our apartment and car would proceed without problems.

• That we would be able to save enough between now and the end of September to pay for the move and our airline tickets.

• That God would provide a place for us to live in Portugal and a reliable car.

• That the Lord would prepare the hearts of the people He wants us to reach for Him.

Thank you for allowing us to be your missionaries to Lithuania for the past 15 years! We look forward to what the Lord will accomplish in southern Portugal and count it an honor to be your representatives there!
