The people who signed the charter to organize Kingsmead
Independent Baptist church in Cannock in January 2006. This
church is growing and averaging around 40 now on Sunday
mornings. They have just started having Sunday evening services
and are having between 25-30 for these services!

Missionary Bro. Damian Pickett is pastoring Kingsmead.
He is shown here baptising one of the young people at our
church. They do not have a baptistry, so we get to enjoy seeing
our fruit baptised! They baptised four that night and we,
Temple, baptised one.

Lars and Carol Haukeland (pronounced Hawkland). They joined with
us three years ago after finishing Bible College. Now the Lord
has called them to Norway. They will be leaving in June to start
a Sunday School and Youth ministry there which will hopefully
grow into a church!
This is our first missionary couple to go out of Temple! The
Haukeland's have three children. Bro. Lars is Norwegien and
Carol is British.

Temple with a
full auditorium. We have outgrown our building. We have approval
for the extension and are in the throws of raising funds. Our
goal is to raise 10% of the cost before we break ground in 2009.
We need to raise £20,000 or $35,000. We truly covet your prayers
and help with this. We do not need monies to be sent to the BBF
project fund yet, we need special offerings designated to us
which we can then transfer to England to put in this initial
pot! Pray for us as we undertake this project. We are not
building savvy! God will have to work in front of us and
hopefully we can follow! Pray for the people as they are excited
and determined to see this through. It is going to be an amazing
ride! |
