Dear Friends:
Two wonderful things!
First, the people have been saving and praying
to reach the goal of $40,000 by next February in order to make a
start on their new building. While I was on furlough they have
raised $20,000! That is not including the specials that many of
you have given toward the building! It was with great rejoicing
of heart that we all praised the Lord for showing us what He
could accomplish with a handful of people who are willing to
give! Please continue to pray as we work toward the goal and
make preparations to be ready to break ground in February 2009!
Second, on February 10th the church commissioned
Bro Ian Hutchings to go to the area of Huntington in Cannock to
start the Hope Baptist Church. Bro Hutchings had been taking
care of Temple while I was on furlough and the Lord opened doors
and brought people interested in starting a new work! What a
blessing. This is the third work to start out of Temple! God is
truly amazing!
Please pray for this new work. They have about
20 people right now and are using rented accommodation. Pray God
would give them a building of their own. Bro. Barry Dunmire is
working alongside Bro Hutchings.
One of the men was praying on Wednesday and
thanked God that even though we are a small church He is able to
make us large by planting new works! It really blesses my heart
to see that these people understand missions and are excited to
see God working!
