Dear Friends,

We arrived in the States at the end of March and went straight to our first mission conference in Tulsa, OK. What a blessing to renew friendships and share what God has been doing with the ministry in England!

After the conference, we traveled on to Missouri where we have settled in with our daughter, Sally. It is truly a blessing to not have to set up an entire house for this furlough. All we had to do was purchase a bed and get our cell phones and we were in business! Phil Long, missionary in Scotland, has allowed us to use his van until the end of August so we haven't even had to sort out a vehicle! God has truly provided as He promised.

However, the American germs have been haunting me ever since. I caught some type of bug that put me in bed for the next week and I am still recovering. Meanwhile, another bug decided to pay a 24 hour visit just as I arrived for a conference in Oklahoma. I am not the type of guy who likes to be held back by illness, so I am finding this very frustrating. I would appreciate your prayers as I try to regain my strength.

One of the goals of this furlough is to raise awareness and finances for the extension to the church in Wolverhampton. We are trying to raise $40,000 so we can break ground on the building by February 2009. Sounds like a lot of money to me, but if only forty of my supporting churches gave $1,000 or each church gave $400 the goal would be easily reached. Could I ask you to pray about this? If the Lord allows you to give, please mark it as a special for the building extension.  Thank you so much.
