Dear Faithful Supporters:
We are pleased to report that the Lord is doing great things here in High
Wycombe. We had our first Christmas Eve service and despite high winds and rain
we had a record attendance of ‘55’. Our people worked hard to invite their
family and friends. After the service we had the traditional mince pies, tea and
coffee.
January has started off very
busily. We have just completed a month of messages on biblical stewardship. It
is a joy to see our people respond with tremendous giving. Carol has started a
ladies Bible study that meets every other week. Our men meet each Tuesday
morning at 6:45 for Bible study. Spiritual growth abounds as does testing. But
spiritual maturity abounds also.
We now have five people attending regularly who are lost. I would love to report
that at least one of them has come to Christ, but not yet. I believe two of them
are close. Please continue to pray for the salvation of Elleana, Kate, Lydia,
Kevin and Rita. Please pray for James, one of our young men, who is supposed to
get baptized soon. We set one date but it had to be changed.
Our attendance is holding steady
with 35-40 people attending each week. We will be losing one of our faithful
families who are moving away. However, we continue to have a steady stream of
visitors.
At every turn we are encouraged with the progress that has been made in the nine
months since we started the church. We have a beautiful building, a faithful
core of committed Christians and the prospects are bright. We thank you for your
continued faithful support. Our people are increasingly thankful that you make
it possible for them to have a full time pastor.
