About the Doans

Doug was saved at age 22 after a friend shared with him the Gospel Message.

Eva was saved at age 4 through the ministry of a missionary while Eva's father was stationed in Germany. She has had a desire since then to be a missionary somewhere in Europe.

Doug and Eva met in church and, after about 15 months, announced to the church that they would be wed and then attend Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.

Upon graduation, they served their internship at New Testament Baptist Church in Largo, Florida, under the leadership of Dr. H. F. Ramsey. After internship, support was raised and the Doans arrived in Lithuania November 5, 1996.

God has given them six wonderful boys, of which the two oldest have accepted Christ and been baptized. It is the goal of the Doans to win many Lithuanians to the Lord and to begin self-propagating, self-sufficient Independent Baptist Churches.
