Dear Pastors, Prayer Partners, Family and Friends,

We’ve been back here in Wales for a little over a month now and have much exciting news to share with you! Upon our return, we were so thankful to find that Libanus Baptist Church was doing well! There were several new faces, and the people had thrived under the leadership of Mark Young, a young man in our church that Kevin has been discipling and training for ministry. The church had voted to step out in faith and help financially support Mark for the three months that we would be away since he had taken a sabbatical from his job to oversee the church in our absence. This was very exciting for us to see the people of Libanus stretch themselves and trust God to help financially support a church leader. It went so well that they have now extended their financial support of Mark for another 6 months as he continues working in an associate position at Libanus. During these six months we will be praying for God’s continued financial provision and direction regarding a permanent position for Mark at Libanus Baptist. Mark would then begin working on a theological degree and eventually be ordained. In addition to other responsibilities, Mark has now been able to hold a weekly teen outreach on Friday evenings that has had great success! The number of teens attending the teen services has steadily grown as a result of these outreaches. We also have another young man that Mark has been discipling making plans to attend the Baptist Bible College here in the UK in September! That will be two of our young men attending Bible college, as well as, Mark studying by correspondence for ministry! God is so good! Please pray for Mark and his wife Eve during this time as they seek God’s direction for them. It has been a huge step of faith for him to quit his job and take on more responsibility in this ministry!

Recently we had two very exciting opportunities for outreach. On Saturday, June 30th, we performed a Wedding Blessing for a couple in our church. Many of those that attended were unsaved family and friends that live in or near our village. Then on Sunday, July 1st, we had another baptismal service. It was a wonderful service where each of those being baptized gave their testimony and then we sang each of their favorite hymns. The church authorized Tom Jones (one of our young men that is attending Bible College) to baptize his father, and Mark Young who baptized the young man he is discipling that will be attending Bible college in the fall. The first two baptisms were done inside the church and then our church, along with the many friends and family that were visiting this special service, headed down to the sea where Kevin baptized two more young people. We then stood out on the beachfront and sang a few hymns. Even though we were experiencing normal Welsh weather of clouds and rain, our spirits could not be dampened. The gospel was given at both of these services and more than 80 people, most of which never attend church, heard a very clear presentation of what Christ had done for us on the cross. We heard from many of the people that they enjoyed the services and also saw several who were obviously touched by the singing, testimonies, and messages. Please pray that the seed that has been sown will have opportunity to be watered as some of them return to visit our services and that we will see fruit from these two outreach opportunities!!

Camp is coming up soon and we have 25 senior campers going to camp July 30th through August 3rd. We will also be taking approximately 5 to Junior Camp the week of August 13th. Be in prayer for those campers that are unsaved and for growth in those that are!

Lastly, we hate to mention this again, but the medical/dental/vision bills that we incurred while on furlough were quite high – approximately $3,000. We have had $200 come in to help us with these expenses. Thanks so much for all that you do! We do not take for granted your prayers and financial support!

In His Service,

Kevin & Kim Davis
