Dear Pastors, Prayer Partners, Family & Friends,

Greetings from Llanfairfechan! As we write to you, the daffodils are in full bloom, we are starting to see baby lambs in the fields throughout the village, and the days are getting longer. These things give us hope that a little warmer and, hopefully, nicer weather is not too far around the corner!!

Mother’s Day or “Mothering Sunday”, as they call it here in the UK, is celebrated in March. Our ladies put on their very first “Mother & Daughter Tea”. It was a great success and was very much enjoyed by the 33 ladies and their daughters that attended. We had several unsaved friends and family that attended who heard a wonderful message given by Patty Dunmire, a fellow missionary from Cannock Chase, England. The ladies have also started a monthly Fellowship Meeting and each month a different lady is being encouraged to bring the devotion. The lady that volunteered for February has always been very reserved and shy about doing anything. She did a wonderful job and was such a blessing to the ladies in attendance, but the biggest blessing was the testimony that it was to her unsaved husband. He was impressed that she even volunteered and then noticed how hard she worked on researching and preparing the devotion. He commented to Kevin that “you have to appreciate all the time she put into her talk”. We have been praying for her husband for many years now and are continuing to pray that the spiritual growth he is seeing in his wife will be the very thing that brings him to make a decision for Christ. I want to also mention that Kim has been doing a Bible Study with several ladies on Tuesdays for quite some time now, and the most recent study that they have been doing has been such a blessing, that a second group of ladies have asked her to do the study on Monday evenings with them. It is so exciting and such an encouragement to see God working in this area of ministry!!

The Sunday School room, which is now going to be the Teen Room, was finally completed once the floor had been sanded and several coats of varnish were applied. It has been a long, tedious process, but everyone is pleased with the outcome, and the Teens will be moving in soon! We will now begin the process of repairing and painting the other side of the building we’ve been using for Sunday School rooms. We’re waiting for quotes from several workers to put up wall board that will help with the dampness issues we struggle with here in Wales, and then will begin painting. We are also planning to put shelving up in the storage area to help get things organized. Pray for us as we seek God’s provision and find balance in doing the work that needs done on the building, as well as, equipping and meeting the spiritual needs of the people.

Please continue to pray for Mark and Eve Young. The church, at our Annual General Meeting, voted to permanently take Mark on staff and continue to financially support him. This will make it possible for Mark to continue his ministry to the teens, focus on his studies for his theological degree, and to go out and raise additional support from other churches to supplement his income. This is very needful, especially since Mark and Eve announced that they are expecting their first child in September!! Praise the Lord for this blessing and also for the step of faith that this young couple and Libanus Baptist are taking!!!

In His Service,

Kevin & Kim Davis
